Nav Durga - My personal Journey, evolution, and experience

Wrapped up in the arms of Love and Compassion, thats Parashakti - motherly energy. I went through an epiphany when I was trying to  understand the purpose of Navratri and  imbibe the concept. I would like to share it with my readers.  There are just too many literature out there that talks extensively about each of these 9 Shaktis. I do not want to replicate the content already available out there. I'm focusing on my experience with these 9 sequential shaktis from spiritual evolution and community impact perspective. If I have to summarize the below sequential steps, it will be this :  "You start from strength and agility (Shailaputri)  and walk towards a deliberate journey to seek wisdom (Bramhacharini) . Now you are ready to  tame your mind (Chandraganta) . You will now start working on extraordinary ideas and missions (Kushmanda) . You now manifested   (Skandamata)  a new future. You start taking actions (Katyayini)  and will collaborate with the world to make it real. You

Why!!! go to the Temple?

Why!!! go to the Temple? Well, being a hindu we believe in the Omnipresent. When God is in everyone, everything and everywhere, why go to the temple? This is a very logical question. When Krishna himself preach about Aham Brahmasmi, and Tatwamasi, why where the temples constructed in the first place? ENERGY SIGNIFICANCE Sun emits a large amount of heat energy, but is not enough to burn a piece of cloth by merely placing it in front. Amazingly the same piece of cloth can easily catch fire by merely placing a lens between the both. Similarly temples, where thousands of people visit with God in mind and prayers in lips profuse the “Power of Intentions” by unifying the nature's matrix of Kinetic energy (atoms of every single being in the zone), magnetic energy (copper, bronze, panchaloha (5 metal compound commonly used in idols, and metals existing in human bodies), sound energy (mantras), light energy (diya's, homa's, yaga's), and heat energy (diyas, homas). Quartz Crystals - When cognitive science meets metaphysics

Lately I was drawn to the science of crystals. It was an eye opening discovery for me and I'm thrilled to share it with you. For most of us, crystals means Swarovski. Let me introduce you to the new world of these mysterious looking pretty things. Watch / Wall Clock : Quartz crystal clocks uses natural vibrations occurring within the quartz crystals, activated by alternative electric current, (shape of a tuning fork); and is be made to oscillate at a desired frequency. Radio : Transmitters uses quartz to set broadcasting frequencies Microscopes and Ultrasound machines Laser eye surgery: Quartz is used to transmit and focus energy in all laser technology Telescope: Quartz crystal is used to transmit whole spectrum light in optical lenses. Credit Cards, Computers: Silicon Dioxide = Quartz Crystal. In short, Quartz crystals can store, transmit, transform, focus, and amplify energy. What is unique about Quartz Crystals? Molecules, atoms and ions are packed

To my beautiful daughter Aditi

Aditi, is a name that dad and mom came up with from no where. We don't know who came up with it first. But we somehow knew that we loved that name. It has a miraculous spiritual connection to your father. But apart from that, there is a small song that got me and dad really inspired by the name Aditi. One fine evening we went out to see a movie which had a song composed by A.R.Rahman. The song carried a beautiful message for a gal called Aditi. Mom wants you to read/listen to it when ever you feel scared, down, or lonely. Know that, I will be always watching over you and loving you from the deepest corner of my heart. Remember one thing always..." Independent we Grow, United We Stand." - Love Mom. Sometimes in life, Aditi, just like that someone seems like your own Sometimes Aditi, when they are separated, it seems like a dream In such, how can anyone stop their tears from flowing And how can someone think everything’s going to be okay Sometimes it seems there is

Hindu Marriage - Promises, Duties, Responsibilities

“Yatra nariyastu poojayante ramante tatr devah” (Manu Smriti : Chapter 3, verse 56) – Gods dwell where woman is worshiped. Here Worshiped means – respected, paid gratitude, adored, loved and cared. Vedic philosophy believes in the Ardha-Nar-Ishwara (Ardha – Half, Nari – female, Ishwar- God), the Godly Other Half of the Man. This concept believes that a wife is that person a man weds, with whom he entrusts his life and soul. She is his counterpart in every walk of his life whether spiritual or worldly. Vedas requires married men to perform religious rites, ceremonies or sacrifices only with his wife. Here the wife being the Sahadharmacharini – the Spiritual Helpmate. In the absence of Sita during the Ashwamedha Yagya, Lord Rama had to construct a life like gold sculpture of Sita in order to perform the rites. This simply demonstrates how inseparable a man and woman truly is. A wife in Vedas have several names such as Ardhangini “the other half”, Samrajani “Queen of the Household”,

I’m thankful to God Almighty for opening the doors for me, and blessing me to know Him more and understand the rich heritage of Haindava Samskaar. In this paper we are going to talk about Mantras. Definition of Mantra Mananena thraayathe iti mantra = Mananena thraayathe =“a transforming thought”; literally, “that which, when thought, carries one across [the worldly ocean of sorrow]” ( Wikipedia ). iti mantra = that is mantra The power of a mantra lies in its ability to produce an objective, perceptible change in the yogi who repeats it correctly.
