Knowledge

The purpose of this blog is to make myself aware of my thought process, to jot down my thoughts...

I asked myself this question…How valid is, “what I know about what I think I know?”

What is knowledge? Knowledge is the outcome of energy reaction on human brain. Knowledge is removing maya (ignorance, delusion, and sensory illusion) from the truth. I know that, it is not fair from my side to define one of the most disputed theories in the philosophical world in just few words.

Epistemologists define their versions of “Knowledge” based on several theories, they believe holds true. Plato in his dialogue Theaetetus, describes Socrates's belief of what knowledge is. According to his theory, knowledge is justified as a true belief. In order to know that a given proposition is true one should believe in the "true proposition" and also have a good reasoning for this belief. I personally do not agree with this theory. I believe that beliefs change from person to person and so does perception. And the most interesting part is, each of us believe that our perception carried the best reasoning.

Knowledge according to me is “unbiased information that is justified by universally guided principle at a particular point of time. Knowledge is not constant and so is the universe".
Unbiased: Isn’t it nearly impossible to refrain ourselves from being biased?
Universally guided principle: What we know as the universally guided principle is the discoveries and theories of another human being. It is another form of acquired knowledge. Therefore we do not know that this acquired knowledge is not biased. Thus, how do we know that what we know is true? How would we be able to create new knowledge without knowing the absolute truth of the current framework we are working on?
Frustrating…isn’t it?

One should know that “Knowledge is constantly changing derived information, justified by a constant principle”(again my own definition). Now the constant principles are again discoveries of other people, which may or may not hold true. Therefore holding onto a certain Newtonian or Einsteinian principle may not be universally applicable, even though we just cannot help believing in theories on the quantum mechanics and photo-electric effects, etc.

We should also be wise enough to distinguish between situated knowledge and universal knowledge. Situated knowledge is the knowledge particular to one situation (space and time). Universal knowledge is the guiding principle which remains constant at any place or time.

Deriving knowledge using reverse engineering of thought process leads to misconception and people often do it. The reason it leads to misconception is the “Information A” (starting point) of the reverse engineering process may be biased due to personal beliefs and experiences.

Who can attain knowledge? One who can channelize his energy to specific areas of the brain can trigger those waves resulting in developing logical and rational stream of thought. Remember, your brain is a super computer. It does millions of simulations, permutations and combination on a daily basis, which human awareness often ignore or fail to recognize. There is a whole new system of science that we can discuss here, when we talk about channelizing energies and triggering the brain functions.

What is the process of creating knowledge? Knowledge can be created through an organized and logical thought process. Our brain has been conditioned by our parents, teachers and books from birth, to follow a particular system or belief. Without questioning, and breaking loose from the bonds of these pre-programmed thoughts, it is impossible to create knowledge. Freedom of thought is one of the keys to attaining pure knowledge. The truth of the knowledge is when the beliefs and pre-programmed thoughts are replaced with independent thinking based on rationality.

So my message to you as well as myself is:
Do not fear to be different
Those who have weird ideas may not be weird, they might be actually thinking outside the norms.
Rhetorical questioning always triggers new paths of unexplored knowledge.
Do not fear to discuss your ideas with the “worthy”.
Knowing what Knowledge is, might help us stop ourselves from being bias during our thought process.

yes! epistemology....i liked the way u question urself! U have all these wonderful ideas, and then u turn back and ask rhetorical questions to urself. Thats an amazing quality of a true philosopher. I think that helps us refine our thought process and hopefully see things differently.
(i always thought I could understand people by looking at them and talking to them for a bit...u changed my perception. This is the first time I'm watching what I'm writing, because I dont want to sound like a fool in front of u...Its nice to know u srija...)
